Any cancer that remains after this therapy is removed through a surgical procedure. If the cancer has spread to the neck lymph nodes, surgical removal of the lymph nodes is required after chemoradiation therapy.   • Stage 4B tongue cancer

  • Stage 4B tongue cancer, where the cancer has spread to other organs of the body, can be treated with surgery, plus radiation therapy and chemotherapy to improve survival and quality of life of patients.
To prevent tongue cancer, it is recommended not to smoke or use chewing tobacco, limit consumption of alcoholic drinks, avoid having oral sex by changing partners, and regularly check your oral health condition to the dentist every six months.
